Review: Good Luck , Have Fun, Don't Die

"Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die" is a 2025 science fiction action comedy film. A man walks into a diner, claims to be from the future, and recruits a collection of diner patrons to help him combat a dangerous artificial intelligence. At various points in the film, we get to see the backstories of several characters so we get to see why they chose to join the man in his quest to destroy the AI, which is gradually putting the world in a stranglehold and placing people in a phone-based trance to control them. The world at large is also bleak, a symptom AND cause of the AI's rise. That doesn't mean it's all doom and gloom, however, as the film is also darkly hilarious in terms of how desensitized many characters are to some truly horrific situations that they encounter. The film is a clear product of current 2020s culture. The AI in the movie is presented front and center as a danger if left unchecked by security protocols, echoing real-life fears of unregulated A...
